HISTORY

Since 1990, in order to encourage the marketing and promotion of their products abroad, the Town Hall and the meat-producing factory owners of the town have organized the Day of Ham, when thousands of people meet for the Popular Ham-Tasting which is held on the Saturday of the September Fair.

This event is complemented by a ham-cutting competition, some technical seminars and a ham-cutting course.

THE FESTIVAL

The party starts at 11:00 pm continuing throughout the entire day, although the peak of the day centered on the midday.

The venue of the festival is the town's municipal swimming pool and park is located nearby, which have a number of booths in which jamóny cheese is sold either in servings or in pieces . If you buy the piece, this is accompanied by a knife, a sharpener, a ham and a cover.

During this day there is a popular tasting ham so that all who pass through the road will deliver a sandwich of this prized product.

At the entrance to the exhibition are the tables and chairs that people rent to sit. The party is enlivened by a band that runs throughout the hotel.
