FESTIVALS

The Festivals are popular celebrations, a number of ancient origin, celebrated in the towns of Extremadura, and have a strong tourist attraction.

In addition to the massive attendance of visitors, the originality of the festival itself, which have managed to save some for centuries, the beauty of its principal moments, combining in a festive feeling to an entire people.

Of all the holidays, we underline the Holy Week of Cáceres, declared a Fiesta of National Tourist Interest, The Chíviri in Trujillo, The Candelas in Almendralejo, The Enramá, The Jarramplás, Carnival in Badajoz, the latter declared of Regional Tourist Interest Events.

Take place during all seasons, although in winter time and spring, when most festivals have Extremadura.
