LOCATION
The Boutique Hotel is in the town of Alcántara, in the West of the Cáceres Province and 11 kilometres from the border with Portugal. It can be reached from Madrid by taking the A-5 to Navalmoral de la Mata and then the A-66 to Cáceres. From there, take the N-521 and then the EX-207.
HOTEL INFORMATION
Entering the Conventual de Alcántara Boutique Hotel is like going back in time to the end of the fifteenth century in Extremadura. The "Convento de San Bartolomé” Convent was constructed at this time and the Order of San Francsico took possession of it. The building was later used as a flour factory.
The restoration of the building respects the spirit of the original construction and this gives it a hard to beat charm and serenity while at the same time offering all the comfort and services of a select hotel.

The building has two floors and a porticoed cloister. The church has retained its dome and contains a museum displaying the machines used in the flour factory. The old vegetable garden is now a natural space where guests can enjoy reading in the shade of the olive trees or take an agreeable dip in the swimming pool.
The Hotel has 30 rooms, of which 23 are double rooms, 2 are suites and 5 are superior rooms. All are furnished and decorated to guarantee our clients a unique and authentic experience.
The Hotel facilities include a restaurant, café with terrace, meeting room, function room, large garden, swimming pool and outdoor parking.

There are two national monuments nearby: The Roman Bridge and the San Benito Convent. In addition, the Extremadura Regional Government has recently declared the Iglesia Parroquial de Santa María de Almodóvar church to be a Building of Cultural Interest.
