HOTEL INFORMATION
The Hotel is an interesting example of a modern building created to blend with the beautiful scenery surrounding it. This has been achieved by using materials that prove very attractive in this type of building, such as wood, stone and typical Extremaduran slate.

The building is on three floors. The ground floor contains function rooms with a capacity of 120 people, a garden area and a swimming pool. The first floor of the Hotel contains the "Los Sentidos" Restaurant, with seating for 80 diners, where guests can sample typical dishes from Extremadura. Next to reception guests can find an original cafe which has a terrace with wonderful views, lounges with open fireplaces and a pool room.
On the top floor, which has a sloping ceiling, the corridors are lined with large windows which look out over a large area of the Mediterranean forest that forms the National Park. The Hotel has 48 double rooms with a terrace, 4 junior suites, 4 rooms with a lounge and 4 duplex apartments. All of these have a bathroom, mini-bar, air conditioning, safe and television.

This four star establishment has been decorated using attractive modern furniture which contrasts spectacularly with the environment and the design of the building. There is no shortage of parking space or vantage points from which to look out over the Park. The inside of the hotel is decorated in a modern style and contains paintings by Extremaduran artists such as Vostell and Canelo and furniture and rugs by such famous designers as Mariscal, Le Corbusier and Moragas. In addition, guests can book trips through Monfragüe or use our staff to help them prepare any visits or excursions that they wish to make.
SURROUNDING AREA
The Monfragüe National Park is one of the most emblematic areas in Extremadura for its conservation and maintenance of species and its flora, which is typical for European Mediterranean Forests. This area, bathed by the river Tajo and its tributary, The Tietar, covers 18,000 hectares. It is home to a large number of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds, many of them jealously guarded for conservation purposes since they have unfortunately become extinct in other parts of the world.
The Monfragüe National Park
The National Park has a number of marked routes and paths that visitors can use to discover the areas within it. All of these routes begin from the magnificent Interpretation Centre in Villarreal de San Carlos.
As well as enjoying the natural environment guests can visit three nearby historical Extremaduran cities. These are Cáceres, whose Old Town has been declared a World Heritage Centre, Plasencia and Trujillo, both of which have a historic-artistic heritage of undoubted cultural value. The nearby town of Serradilla contains the interesting Municipal Ethnographic Museum and an excellent collection of baroque paintings is exhibited in the Convento del Santo Cristo.
