  • The Silver Route became the main way to transport goods, and for people, animals and soldiers travelling along the west of the Iberian Peninsula.

In order to study the Roman road carefully, it needs to be divided into three stages, and the interpretation centre is in the middle. Mérida claims its importance in history once again, this time from the side of a road that is thousands of years old. Here you'll find this monographic centre in the archaeological site of Morerías, from which you can embark upon a fascinating journey of the city's history.
