This reservoir has its own sailing club and is the home to many water birds
Sailing, pedalos… if you love watersports, this is the place for you. The 84.7 cubic hectometre Borbollón reservoir has its own sailing club, making it a particular attraction. The dam was built on the Arrago river, 10 kilometres from Moraleja near the confluence with the Toconales stream, at a place known as Borbollón.
The dam was built in 1954, and has another special attraction, if you are interested in water birds. The Parra Chica islet in the centre of reservoir is home to magnificent shrubs and wetland meadows, which are home to cormorants, cranes and other species. And the waters provide a home for eel and trout.
