The Valle del Jerte greets the arrival of autumn with an extensive cultural programme in the towns of the valley.
Autumn is felt and experienced differently in the Valle del Jerte. Its spectacular landscapes with their varied hues colour this region in the north of Extremadura in October, November and December and, in addition to an extensive cultural-tourist programme, make this the season of the year shine with its own light in this region.
This is why the towns in El Jerte hold an annual festivity that brings together gastronomy, history, culture and tradition. An opportunity for visitors to share experiences linked to the culture and traditions of the region, in an extensive and rich programme with the spectacular autumn of the Valle del Jerte as its setting.
Craft markets, talks on mycology, workshops, guided tours, hiking trails, gastronomic tastings, contests, seminars, exhibitions of paintings and sculpture, theatre and music, amongst other activities, are just some of the multiple cultural attractions available in the valley during La Otoñada.
