An atypical, large specimen.
This venerable juniper stands in Las Hurdes, to be specific in Las Mestas, a farm in Ladrillar, next to the forest house (casa forestal). Catalogued as a Singular Tree of Extremadura, it is thought that it may have been brought from the nearby hills to Las Batuecas. It is around 350 years old and has a tall, thick trunk without branches. Its appearance reminds one of a weeping willow.
