  • Piornal has dedicated this museum to its most important festival: El Jarramplas, declared of National Tourist Interest and held every year from 19th-20th January.

It is a fully interactive museum, where the visitor can discover the festival through panels and digital screens that explain processes of elaboration of elements and objects and the most significant moments of the festival. You can also listen to the sounds and different types of music played at Jarramplas, or find out the different theories about the origin of the festival, among other interesting aspects.

It also houses an important collection of the festival-related objects, items and clothing, such as masks, costumes, drums, sticks, armour, to name just a few.

A life-size Jarramplas model is the centre of attraction at the museum in its typical and representative posture.

Another of the museum’s greatest attractions is the Virtual Reality Mask that the visitor can wear to experience first-hand how Jarramplas feels: the blows, the emotion, the fatigue, the adrenaline…

It also have an audiovisual room, with seating for about 50 people.
