This Renaissance palace in Cáceres is also known as Casa de Roco.
Located in Cáceres, very close to Plaza de Santiago, stands this palace which belonged to Francisco de Godoy, who ordered it to be built upon his return from America, where he came to be governor of the city of Los Reyes after marrying Leonor de Ulloa.
The most remarkable feature of this palace is its corner balcony. It is the work of Pedro de Marquina, who built it in 1563. It is shaped by composite order columns located at the sides. Over it you can see a frontal with a decorative bust, above which are the coats of arms of both Goday and of Aldana, crowned by a helmet.
