The Parish Church of Santiago Apóstol stands in the town of Miajadas in Cáceres and is has been declared a Cultural Heritage Site.
The Parish Church of Santiago Apóstol is one of two parish churches in the municipality of Miajadas in Cáceres. It stands in the Plaza de Santiago and dates from the end of the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century. Of the original, the Gothic doorway remains, and other elements such as the tower, the baptismal chapel and the nave.
As you enter you will find the Latin cross floor plan with its enormous transept and that the oldest part is made of ashlar with dressed stone in the transept and main chapel. Access is gained through one of four entrances. -
