Extremadura offers you many different options for choosing your accommodation in the region.

If you are looking for laidback travel, enjoying the countryside and peace in harmony with nature, the best option is to stay at rural hotels, houses and apartments. If, on the other hand, you wish to stay in the centre of town, either by necessity or for pleasure, Extremadura can offer hotels, hostels, boarding houses… If you are backpacking, Extremadura's public and private campsites are a good option (municipal camping areas are also provided). If you are into relaxing tourism and you wish to enjoy mud baths and medicinal hot springs, you can spend the night at one of Extremadura's spa hotels.

If you wish to stay in a special place, in a charming hotel, choose a historic inn. The historic inns are all located in remarkable historic buildings, so you can step back in time - but also enjoy modern conveniences. There are historic inns in Alcántara, Las Hurdes, Llerena, Monfragüe National Park, Garrovillas de Alconétar, Hervás and Sierra de Gata; and they all belong to the Extremadura Historic Hotel Network.
