The La Norteña and La Emilia mines are located at the Los Nogales gorge, near the town of Higuera in Cáceres. Galena, lead, zinc and silver were mined here, and now the mines are revealed thanks to this interpretation centre that allows you see the cars and wagons that were used for mining, and get to know more about the traditional techniques that were used for taking these precious minerals from the land long ago.
