  • A religious monument built over an old Mudejar building. This unique building houses a fusion of architectural styles.

Standing in the Plaza Mayor in Llerena, the church of Nuestra Señora de la Granada was built between the 14th and 18th centuries.

Built over an old Mudejar-style church, the chapel designed by Zapata deserves special mention, as does the priory chapel.

The Zapata chapel is located in the chancel. Built in a Gothic-Renaissance style, it occupies several sections of the epistle nave. Its interior decor combines both Gothic and Renaissance elements.

The Renaissance-style priory chapel has an impressive entrance leading to the sacristy, flanked by Tuscan pilasters.

Adjoining the chancel of the church is the side-chapel of Nuestra Señora de la Granada, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It is a rococo-style building that dates back to the 18th century and is virtually independent from the rest of the church.

It has three façades, most notable of which are the northern and western façades.
